This is a collection of recordings from when I wrote eurorack reviews for Ask.Audio. Each month I would feature a different module, so this meant a great deal of experimentation to get to know how it worked and sounded. This was also a time when I was building up my modular system and getting to know what it was capable of. While these pieces were mostly just experiments, I really enjoy their simplicity. Some of them are short, some of them are long, some of them even start or end abruptly. Too often I fall victim to the urge to keep developing a song to make it more complex, so these were a great exercise in restraint.
